NOCACO (Northern Cable Processing and Manufacturing Company) was incorporated in June 1978. Production started in July 1980 with the aim of supplying vehicle plants with locally made cable harnesses and to satisfy the Nigerian market with all kinds of electric cables and wires. The company's equity shares are distributed 40% to Nigerian shareholders and 60% to foreign partners.
The product range of NOCACO includes ordinary wiring cables, conduit cables, insulated aluminum service cables, aluminum overhead lines, both bare and steel reinforced, Copper underground cables (armored and non-armored), as well as flexible cables, cords and drop wire for telecommunication purposes. NOCACO is the only manufacturer of complete assembled harnesses for automobile industry in the country.
In the area of quality, NOCACO places a high premium on the quality of its products, as it designs and produces high quality products in line with national and international standards, i.e. Nigeria Industrial Standard (NIS), British Standards (BS) and German Industrial Standards (VDE, DIN) and to specific customers’ requirements.
As a proof of high quality, NOCACO is an NIS Gold Award Winner on several of its products. In addition, it became the first cable manufacturer in Northern Nigeria to design, install and implement a quality system, which has been certified according to the requirements of International Organization for Standardization otherwise known as ISO – 9001:2000 Standard. This is a quality system, which aims at achieving Total Quality Management (TQM), in the areas of production, installation and servicing.

the Northern States of Nigeria –
Kaduna with branches at Lagos and Abuja.
